Karachi: Gymboree Play & Music launched opened its doors in Karachi this year with two centers, one in DHA Phase VI and one in Clifton. It also launched its center in Johar Town, Lahore on April 5, 2015.
After the launch of the center in DHA, Karachi, a press conference was held in which Mrs Sophia Kasuri emphasised how important a child’s first few years are in terms of their physical, mental and behavioural development. She explained how Gymboree works with parents to facilitate social skills and personality development in an ultra-safe and hygienic environment.
The launch in Clifton, Karachi took place on February 1, 2015. The day-long event included free previews for families with children ages 0-5 years, who were excited to take part in the classes on offer. The children also bought Gymboree’s educational toys and explored the play gym area. The event drew in more than 150 families.
The launch of the Gymboree Play & Music centre in Johat town Lahore phenomenal. The event drew in more than 250 families. Parents in Lahore are becoming increasingly familiar with the concept of early childhood development.
Cricketer Shahid Afridi was the chief guest at the event, and while talking to the media he said importance must be given to early childhood development. Afridi said programmes such as Gymboree help children develop both physically and mentally and it also gives them confidence at a very young age.
Gymboree’s unique approach to early childhood education, which concentrates on parent-child interaction, was welcomed by the families present. Gymboree will also be opening branches in Faisalabad as well as Islamabad in the near future.
